The Power of Conscious Responsibility
How many of you are tired? How many of you are weary? When was the last time you had a day to yourself and felt the warmth of the sun on your face? When was the last time you went hiking, went for a walk with no distractions, no responsibilities? No phone ringing? No email to send out? If you cannot recall the answer to these questions, then you need to stop and think and ponder the why.
Many times we get bogged down with responsibilities and other people's expectations of ourselves, the expectations we've placed on ourselves because of others and we forget the most important person in the equation is us. When we forget that growth happens in the still moments of life where we can stop and think and connect with Spirit and our higher selves and enjoy, revel and explore the wonder of being alive we do ourselves a disservice. These moments are precious, they are life giving, healing uplifting and absolutely necessary to our Spiritual growth and to the empowerment of authentic living. Without them, gratitude escapes us, wonder eludes us and stress overwhelms us.
We need these moments as much as we need water, food and air to breathe, without them we do our selves a disservice and everyone around us because we are not nor can we ever be at our best at half mast. We also by pass our most sacred responsibility in this life, ourselves. Conscious responsibility is all about acknowledging that we are responsible for our own happiness in this life and our emotional state of being. There is a conscious responsibility and sacred truth in the knowing that no one is responsible for our happiness just as we in turn are not responsible for anyone else's happiness. We each have a path and a journey is this life and we cannot walk it for others, just at they cannot walk ours.
Your children are not responsible for your happiness, other people are not responsible for your happiness. When we place this sacred responsibility onto others we are often disappointed. We loose our power right there in that moment when we say, "here are the key's to my happiness." Stop and think for a moment of the relevance of this in everyday life. How often is this done, how easily without afterthought? When we can find joy in our own state of being, THAT is conscious empowerment, authentic living and conscious responsibility.
So...be there for yourself, STAND UP for yourself and SHOW UP for yourself with a cup of coffee and a good book. With a walk in the woods with no distractions, for early morning meditations and evenings by the fire under the moonlight. We find ourselves in these moments and it is here we begin to nurture that which is divine within us and awaken to a new level of consciousness of being. Conscious responsibility is the tool to awakening the transformative power, that holds limitless potential for the soul.
